CampuVisit days are a fun-filled, information-packed day that will help students jump-start their decision process and provide direction for their future. Students find out what it’s like to attend class by getting into some great discussions with instructors and current students, working in the labs and meeting new friends. Career exploration will be the focus. Visitors then eat a free lunch and absorb some basic information on the admissions process, applying for financial aid and scholarships, locating housing, and more! Parents/guardians are encouraged to attend.

What is this event?
South Dakota State University's College of Education and Human Sciences is teaming up with Educators Rising of South Dakota to raise up the next generation of educators. High school students interested in a possible career in teaching will have the opportunity to learn what it means to be an educator at this all-day event.

Yellow and Blue Discovery Days-October 21st and November 18th
Yellow & Blue Discovery Day is a free Saturday event designed to give students a closer look at an academic program they are interested in while learning more about South Dakota State. This program is ideal for high school juniors exploring their academic options and seniors finalizing their college plans.

Check out our 200+ academic pathways and visit with representatives from our academic programs at our academic major fair.

Junior Day-
There is so much about college to explore—majors, campus life, career possibilities and more. If you’re a high school junior, now is the perfect time to start looking at colleges and narrowing down your options. We’ve arranged a special visit day just for high school juniors and their families to learn about all the important aspects of college life and get to know SDSU.
Natural Resources Camp- July 22nd-26th
The Natural Resources Camp is a great way to gain exposure to the world of natural resources, including fish, plants, wildlife, soils, invertebrates, and water. The camp offers opportunities to gain hands-on experience in natural resource ecology and management. The camp is intended for high school students, entering grades 9, 10, 11 and 12, who have a strong desire to learn more about the natural world or who have an interest in pursuing a career related to natural resources. Permission of parent or guardian is required.
Possible activities the camp offers include Bird Banding, Lake Ecology, Pollinator Diversity, Camera Trapping, Dart Gun Shooting, Archery, Radio Telemetry, Small Mammal Trapping, Reptile Trapping & Ecology and Careers in Natural Resources.
Space is limited and admission is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Lodging and meals are included in the registration. Registration is $300 and closes on May 31st.

USD Educator Rising Learning Expo
Saturday Morning Visits-
Come to USD for a Saturday Morning Visit, where you will tour campus and meet with an admissions counselor to learn about the admissions process and get a preview of life as a Coyote. Available Saturday morning visits typically last 90 minutes and begin at 9 and 10:30 a.m. All visits are by appointment only and may have limited capacity.

Our Fall Open House is a great opportunity for you to live the #YoteLife for a day. During your visit you will receive an overview of admissions, scholarships, academic programs and life as a Coyote. Mines Open House-October 21st and November 4th
Get a taste of South Dakota Mines by attending one of our personalized on-campus events! Learn about living on campus, student life and services, internships and career placement, and more in the live Q&A panel with some of our current students. You will also get more information about our STEM majors, talk with academic department and student services representatives, and tour the campus.
Pre-Med @ Mines-October 12th
Prospective high school students are invited to learn about the pathway from high school to a healthcare career from a panel of professionals from Monument Health and faculty from South Dakota Mines.
If you're interested in a healthcare career, our biology, chemistry, pre-professional health sciences, and biomedical engineering programs could be the perfect launch to a fulfilling career in medicine.

We invite you to join us on campus to Explore Augustana. At this event you will get to hear from students, faculty and our admission counselors. You will also tour campus with a current student, visit with faculty one-on-one and enjoy lunch on campus.
Science Day-November 18th
The day begins with a 9:30 am. check-in at Centennial Hall, campus tour, Admissions presentation, Academic and Resources Fair, and lunch in our main dining hall. You also may choose from various info sessions including CORE, athletics, fine arts, financial aid and opportunities to get involved on campus.
The day will conclude with a student activities and organizations fair from 1-3 p.m.
Educator Rising-November 30th
Join our dynamic Augustana education faculty to experience what it means to be an educator. Engage in hands-on activities during our breakout sessions, meet with students and faculty, enjoy lunch on campus and leave with skills to better prepare you in the field of education. Those who attend this event and enroll at Augustana as an education major will be eligible for an $8,000 scholarship ($2,000 per year).

It will be a great day planned with sessions about mental health, artificial intelligence, and the teaching of reading, among others. All students who join us will be awarded a scholarship to Mount Marty, and they are excited to share that it is our students who really take the lead on this.
STEM Symposium-October 3rd
Explore opportunities in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics available on our Yankton, SD campus. Our symposium will feature a wide variety of breakout sessions hosted by MMU Faculty, current Mount Marty students sharing their experiences with the BRIN Research Fellowship, and lunch on campus. Join us for Mount Marty University's Fall Open House! We will tour campus, have lunch, preview financial aid information like merit scholarships, when to apply, and what we look for in an application.

Performing Arts Visit Days-November 10th
Join us at Mount Marty University for a immersive Performing Arts experience. Participate in a meet & greet with current students and faculty, get a sneak-peak behind Marian Auditorium's stage, tour campus (including dinner!) and of course enjoy their performance of Urinetown: The Musical.
Lake Area Technical College:
AGC Construction Career Camp-October 20th
Dig in and learn what the construction industry is all about with the Associated General Contractors of South Dakota and Lake Area Tech! Six different exploration stations will give students hands-on experience in Heavy Equipment, Welding, Carpentry, Concrete, and more. Lunch will be provided. Space is limited. Closed toe shoes and long pants are required for safety purposes. Open to students in grades 9-12.
Drone Camp-September 22nd
This one-day camp will provide hands-on learning in the areas of drones, coding, circuitry, 3D printing, robotics and more. Faculty and industry partners will be active in sharing knowledge, hands-on fun and career advice. Students will have the opportunity to participate in the Lake Area Tech simulated drone racing league as well as receive their The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) certificate. Lunch will be provided.
Robot Games/STEM Day-April 24th and 26th
Robot Games are for students who have an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Robot Games is a Capstone project for the senior Robotics/Electronic Systems Technology students in which the skills acquired over the course of their two years are put to the test. A free lunch will be provided (pizza) for all guests, as well as a tour and hands-on activities in STEM programs. Regional industry partners will be in attendance to talk with students interested in entering the STEM careers.

Junior Tech Day is a fun-filled, information-packed day that will help 11th grade students jump-start their decision process and provide direction for their future.

Lake Area Tech hosts two Senior Tech Days. These visitation days are fun-filled, information-packed and help students decide the direction of their future.

Career Exploration Days-December 13th and May 8th
Learn more about careers that inspire. Practice your skills. Meet everyday people that do the job. Join us at Southeast Technical College for career exploration events and camps throughout the year. Middle school and high school students will have the opportunity to consider potential career choices through fun, interactive and informative activities.
Construction Career Camp: May 30th, apply by April 14th
Pouring concrete, flying drones and moving the earth with heavy equipment are some of the hands-on activities high school juniors and seniors participate in at Construction Camp. Spend the day learning about jobs in the construction industry and connecting with industry experts. Construction Camp is FREE!
Western Dakota Technical College:
Saturday College Visit Night-October 21st and April 20th
College Visit and Dual Enrollment Information Days and Nights are designed for anyone interested in learning about Western Dakota Tech. We host six events each year on Saturdays and Tuesdays. Visit and Dual Enrollment Information Days and Nights provide an overview of opportunities and services at Western Dakota Tech and are presented to groups of visitors.

The Salon Professional Academy Rapid City:
They offer Cosmetology, Esthetics, Massage Therapy and Nail Technology programs that students can complete anywhere from 5 to 11 months.

Alexandria Technical College:
Program Visits are for high school seniors and beyond, who have selected a major.
Schedule a visit to meet with an Admissions Representative and a faculty member in your area of interest. Program visits provide an opportunity to:
Meet program faculty and learn about program expectations and outcomes
View program classrooms, shops, and labs
Learn about the costs, financial aid, housing, etc.
Campus Tour
General campus tours are offered on selected Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 am. Tours start on time and last approximately one hour. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early. Tours offer a comprehensive view of the campus and program majors and are encouraged for juniors and younger or those who are unsure of their program choice. Registration is required.
Minnesota West Community and Technical College:
Minnesota West Community & Technical College is hosting 3 events this fall. High school students grades 9 - 12 are invited to attend. Each campus location will be held on a different date so students may register for one or more of the events. Each event will run from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Lunch will be included!

Peace Officer Day: Thursday November 2nd
The peace officer program at Minnesota West Community & Technical College - Worthington campus, will be holding a Peace Officer Day on Thursday, November 2, 2023. The day is set up to allow potential students to come to the Worthington campus to “sit in” on a typical day’s classes that Peace Officer students attend while in the program. This will give potential students a feeling for the program and allow them to meet the instructors, tour the campus and program facilities, and receive information on the program.
Students will also be able to register.
We will review the requirements to get into the program and Peace Officer packets at this event.
