Happy Hope Week! Let's continue to spread kindness, encouragement, and hope!

What gives you hope?
At Langford Area our HOPE Squad is all about building a culture of care, connection, and mental health awareness. HOPE Squad members are students who are trained to recognize when someone might be struggling emotionally and encourage them to reach out for support. They aren't counselors, but they are friends — here to listen, show empathy, and help connect peers with trusted adults and mental health resources.
Our mission is to reduce the stigma around mental health, remind students that it's okay to ask for help, and make sure no one ever feels alone. Everyone needs a little hope sometimes — whether it’s a person, a place, or a small reminder that better days are ahead. Let's keep the conversation going. Let's look out for each other. Let's bring HOPE into every day.

🌳 Growing Together in Langford! 🌳
Today was a tree-mendous day for our Langford area third graders! 🌱✨
With big smiles and helping hands, they planted a beautiful St. Croix Elm at the football field—a lasting symbol of growth, community, and care for our environment.
A huge thank you to the amazing ladies from the Marshall County Conservation District who stopped by to guide the planting and share their knowledge. As a special treat, each third grader received their very own tree to take home and plant. What a wonderful way to inspire the next generation of stewards of the land!
Great Job Third graders! Let's keep Langford green and growing! 💚🌍

E is for Earth Day!
Yesterday, our 4th and 5th graders celebrated “E Day” in their end-of-the-year countdown with a special Earth Day activity. They spent the day outside cleaning up trash around the school grounds and the Park of the Pines—being real stewards of the earth and showing pride in their community. Way to go! Your care and effort is much appreciated!

The National Honor Society students had a great time presenting Samantha Skunk to the Pk-2 graders! Samantha Skunk is a prevention program that presents a positive message on health. Great job NHS students!

Langford Area Take Down Tobacco Day!

C is for Chalk!
Our 4th and 5th graders colored the block with creativity today as part of their Alphabet Countdown to Summer! For “C Day,” students headed outside and turned the sidewalks into masterpieces using bright, bold sidewalk chalk.
What a colorful way to celebrate the countdown to the end of the 2024-2025 school year!

Learning About Cerebral Palsy with Taylor Cole and Her Family
Today, our Langford Area Elementary students had the privilege of spending time with Taylor Cole and her family to learn more about cerebral palsy. Through their visit, students gained a deeper understanding of what CP is, how it affects individuals in different ways, and the importance of all-inclusiveness and kindness.
To show our support and love for Taylor and all of our friends with cerebral palsy, staff and students wore green today! Thank you to Taylor and her family for sharing their experiences, answering questions, and helping us all learn and grow. It was a meaningful day filled with education, awareness, and inspiration!
